Ocean Paradise is a new class - Betty Alofs will begin teaching this on the third Saturday-- It is a 4 -5 class series. $20 each class.
New Intermediate design class-- Shifting perspectives- uses Loraine Torrence book and techniques.
September - on Wednesdsy nights learn to Quilt our popular ABC's restarts- Absolute beginner Quilt Classes-- this is a six week series where the new quilter will learn techniques and complete a lap quilt.

In Sepember Sowing Sisters Hoopsters will be doing - Hawaiian Design- Embroidery. These Designs originated from Keri Duke- I had them digitized. The CD will be available for Sale at the Shop.
In October- we will be doing the WELCOME runner or wall hanging. You can do your last name - instead if you choice.
The class dates are listed in the class schedule section. We invite any MAchine Embroiderers to join us- Pre sign up required. If you bought your machine from us- the class is free (Plus designs fee-in September) If your Embroidery machine wasn't purchsed at Sowing Sisters - the class fee is $15 (plus designs fee)

Hi from Beckie-- I'm finally taking a few deep breaths- after a very, very, busy July. We had our 10th anniversary quilt run (shop hop), the New Long Beach Quilt Festival- and we welcomed a new Grandson. All good things and NOW --- back to more of our Quilt Shop routines - classes, fabrics, new books and patterns.
Speaking of books we were excited to get Amy's new book-
LITTLE STITCHES FOR LITTLE ONES. 20 projects- Kerri, our bag teacher, is currently whipping up the diaper tote- very nice shape and ample space.
The September class schedule is available at the shop- and will be up on the website in a few days. Hope to see you soon at sowing sisters.

I made this turtle quilt and will have kits at the Long Beach Quilt Show. The pattern is by KAren Brow- Java house Quilts in Carlsbad.
