Beginning in August, Betty's back teaching at Sowing Sisters on the 3rd Saturdays of each month. She'll be teaching from her book "Quilt Your Favorite Photos". A few students have signed up to keep working on their Monet Diamonds or Lonestar creations. Betty was at Sowing Sisters during the Quilt Run on both Fridays and Saturdays.

WOW what a GREAT Quilt Run this has been. The CHARMS the shop gave out were a huge hit. We are sooooo glad everyone enjoyed the charms.
Our Charm is a Flower- for"sowing seeds of creativity" and the Carlsbad Flowerfields. Many Shops also had Movie Themes- Ours was Beach Blanket Bingo. Being by the beach we always like a beachy theme.
The runners seemed to find our new State St. location without much difficulty. We received many possitive comments about the much larger and "Cooler" space (air conditioned). There seem to be more runners this year-we've already had around 1200. The run contines today 9-9p and Sunday 9-5pm. All passports need to be turned in by 5pm Sunday. All the shop owners get together Monday to use the passports to pick the winners of th gift baskets and $500 Gift Certificates. Next year- 2008 will be the 10th year for the Soca Quilt Run- I'm sure all the shop owners will work hard to find all kinds of ways to CELEBRATE this milestone.

More new Kaffe Florals, Dots,and Swirls. Also, More Denyse Schmidt, Katie Jump Rope, and Joel Dewberry. Amy Butler's New home dec. line should be put outin the shop tomorrow (Dave is still checking in boxes).
