Hi- more info. on our move to State street. The official move-in dates will be Sunday, May 27, and Monday, May 28th. Beginning May 14th we will have a moving sale- Hope you can drop in and SAVE. Even Kaffe and Amy will be on Sale.
We have purchased 5 additional fabric shelves, from Bearly stitchin Shop, who is closing and moving to Arizona. Also, we are planning to make our classroom twice the size.
We just scheduled Joyce Becker, well known Landscape Quilt Artist, to teach at our shop in November. We are looking forward to having more well known Quilt teachers- with the larger space-we'll be able to accommadate more students, and pay the higher fees that these teachers often require. If you know of a teacher that you are wanting- let me know. My dream teacher-is Ruth Mc Dowell- I will keep trying. She is booked 2 years out- But 2009????

Exciting News to pass on. After 4 years at our current location, and 4 previous years down the street at 2956 Roosevelt, We are moving again- This time to 2787 State street. 100 steps from where we are now. It is twice as big (3,200, square feet), air conditioned, and a little better parking (at least no nasty signs).
The move will be the last part of May- I will pass on more news when I have details.
I'd love to hear from you -about the move, or about what you are working on (sewing/quilting). I just finished a Memory Quilt. I found it very therapeutic- family pictures from the past 30 years- treasured memories. Nice to know it will live on.....

We just got in more than a dozen bolts of Hoffman fish and surf fabrics. Feels like summertime- Time to make a tropical shirt, bag or quilt.
I had a fun week of taking classes at the shop-
I made a Amy Butler Town bag- Cute and easy, in time for Easter.
Then, I started a reflection Jacket (Sharon Wilhites pattern)- to be completed in class 2. Very fun and interesting technique. It makes me want to try this method with lots of different fabrics to see how they will look.
We had a Large, huggable, Teddy Bear Class with Julie. These are soooo cute. I want to make one for everyone I know. I just need lots more time or give up sleeping.
On Monday, I make a pair of Wide leg lounge pants- another amy butler pattern. They are fantastic- I definitely will make more...
I FEEL LIKE I JUST GOT BACK FROM CAMP- AND HAD A WONDERFUL WEEK CREATING.....
Now, back to the real world. Hope you can come by the shop and see what I have made- Plus, maybe take a class. Beckie
